Who I am
Jelle. I wanted to be an inventor, and that never changed. After more than twenty years in software one thing is certain: the most energy comes from problems that don't have a solution yet.
An inventor by nature, a maker by profession. I turn complex problems into solutions that work, and keep working. More than 20 years of experience where hardware, software and the client meet.
This is the long version. The short one is on my CV.
Jelle. I wanted to be an inventor, and that never changed. After more than twenty years in software one thing is certain: the most energy comes from problems that don't have a solution yet.
I design software platforms and turn complex challenges into solutions that actually work. At Doxx I do that with a team. On the side I build products and applications with the same seriousness, just for the love of it.
Understand first, build second. I'd rather ask a good question than jump straight to a solution. Once the problem is clear, the rest usually follows. Start simple, test, adjust. Repeat until it's right.
Problems without a good solution yet. The moment something complicated suddenly becomes obvious. Building things that didn't exist before. That goes for software, but just as much for a mechanical design or a 3D print that solves a problem nobody had an answer to yet.
Good software goes unnoticed. It simply works, year after year.

Started by building websites for clients, PHP, with Bolt CMS, October CMS, Laravel and WordPress as backends. Around 2016 the focus shifted to personal product design under the JDO Solutions brand: 3D-designed and printed products, including the GraviTrax lift (v1 through v4), licensed to distributors. Since the arrival of Claude Code in 2025 a new dimension has opened up, directing AI agents to deliver larger projects with far greater efficiency. These days my own products and client work run side by side: platforms and apps under my own name, and identities and sites for clients.
Graduation internship at Dutch Space. The LabVIEW proof of concept had worked. Now the software needed to be production-ready. I worked directly under the Software Architect of Ordina to set up a logical, scalable structure for the FAI software package in C++ and Qt 3.x. From prototype to a production-grade software suite.
As a freelance web designer at Mediaweb I integrated payment systems into existing websites (ASP, PHP, MySQL, Triple Deal Payments, Ogone Payments) and handled changes and maintenance of client websites.
Web designer at Mediaweb Internet Integrators in Noordwijk. I developed a fully automated system for ordering and paying for hosting packages and domain names (PHP, MySQL, Ogone payments). Also responsible for changes and maintenance of client websites in PHP, HTML, CSS, ASP and MySQL.
Orientation internship at Dutch Space. The LUMC had approached them for this project, because the precision to build such an instrument was in house there. Goal: prove that DNA microarrays can be produced using laser light focused precisely by galvanometer mirrors, and an oligosynthesizer on a microscoopglass slide. I developed the first control software for the prototype in LabVIEW and was responsible for assembling and testing the first functional model, both hardware and software. The proof of concept succeeded: the technology worked.
